THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: SEASON 5!
► The episode number is not yet confirmed.
► Day 1 in the writers room for TVD Season Five: April 15, 2013.
► According to Julie Plec, Silas should be present in Season Five.
► A few new characters will be introduced this season. After graduation, Elena, Jeremy, Bonnie, Matt, Caroline & Tyler will start interacting with some new faces.
► There will be ample opportunity for some characters from TVD and The Originals to move between shows on occasion.
► Katherine will be a significant part of this season, just as she was in Season 2.
► Bonnie will remain a series regular, however as a ghost. As far as we know, only Jeremy will be able to interact with her, as he is a medium.
► Tyler will also return as a series regular, and he is currently still under contract.
► Bonnie is there they just don’t know that she is.
► Jeremy’s cover story for being alive.
► Learning more about Salvatore family history possibly?
► The cure is in Katherine’s blood system now but Silas still has a enormous Plan B.
► Elena and Damon will be happy.
► Even if she’s human now, Katherine is still Katherine she’s still bad and she will take her frustration out on Elena.
► Katherine will ask herself “How much do I hate being human?”
► Katherine needs protection now that she’s vulnerable and she will get it from a Salvatore Brother.
► Holly Brix and Melinda Hsu Taylor will be in Season Five writers staff.
► The writers and Julie Plec came up with the final scene of Season 5.
► Season Five will likely have another time-jump to August or September 2011, when Elena, Caroline and Matt begin college.
► Damon finding out that Silas has nuetralized his brother and has hid his body.
► Damon finding out that he is related to Silas and that Stefan is his Doppelgänger.
► The Salvatore Family history is about to be revealed in depth, with the help of Damon and Elena.
► Bonnie comes back from the land of the dead to the land of the living.
► Bonnie using expression to get back to earth, with the help of her Grams who is with her on The Other Side.
► Katherine is a human and has Klaus after her to make more of his hybrids.
► Katherine is the only living Doppelgänger and has a lot of people after her, by getting revenge on what she had done to them while she was a vampire.
► Tyler returns to Mystic Falls as a present to Caroline from Klaus, because he will not be returning to town.
► Tyler is attending college with Caroline. Wanting to find out why Klaus let him come back.

Damon and Elena, as a couple, are perfectly imperfect.They are the opposite of what Stefan & Elena were : some kind of “fairytale”. They have pretended that things were ok when they were not at all. I won’t explain why but you know what I mean.

I also think Delena is endgame, it’s just right now I do not believe that Elena loves Damon as much as he loves her.
You can say that the sire bond is proof of Elena’s love for Damon, and yes to some extent you are totally right. But that doesn’t change the fact that Elena treated Damon very shitty last season, and this season too, and I’m sorry- but I think that love is so much more than just the ‘warm and fuzzy’ feelings you have for someone. Love is more importantly reflected in your actions.
How can I claim to love my mother as much as she loves me if I’m often treating her like shit? How can I claim to love my boyfriend as much as he loves me if I’m going behind his back, chasing after his brother, manipulating him, and ultimately breaking his heart and leaving him to die alone miles away from home? Now, before I continue, this is not entirely an Elena bash. Elena did have real, genuine feelings for Damon in season 3, I’m not saying she didn’t.
People have said that Elena was just oh-so terrified of how powerful her strong feelings for Damon were that she ran away from them. Okay yeah sure, that was essentially confirmed in 4x16 when Elena said that she was too scared to admit what she wanted. But that’s the thing- love is NOT ego-centric. Love is not ‘all about yourself’ and ‘your feelings’. That’s part of it, but not all of it.
Elena may have loved Damon as a human, but she was very, very selfish in the way she treated both Damon (and Stefan). People can go off about how Elena loved Damon oh so much as a human, but was oh so terrified of it, etc., but at the end of the day, Elena chose her fears over Damon. She chose to run away, to use Stefan to some extent, to break Damon’s heart all because she was afraid. I’m sorry, but that says nothing to me about how deep Elena’s love for Damon was. She was extremely selfish, giving into her fears and denying Damon love even on Damon’s deathbed and leaving him to die alone after everything he has done for her and for Stefan that season- because she was afraid. That is not love. Elena may have been in love with Damon as a human, and I guess we’re supposed to see that, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s nothing but words because she completely failed at showing it.
And that’s how I feel about this season as well. Elena was nothing but words. The same words that she has used since 4x08.
But her actions? Just to name a few:
- Choosing Stefan was the best decision she has ever made.
- She didn’t even go see her boyfriend who was locked in the basement just because his stupid younger bully of a brother said no.
- She showed no emotion whatsoever when finding out that Damon has been being bled dry, starved, and had his neck broken during the time he was locked up
- Damon got captured by Vaughn? MEH.
- She did nothing to confront her human feelings for Damon when he was withdrawing from her.
- And now her humanity is off so of course she doesn’t give two shits about him.
I need to SEE Elena’s love for Damon. At times I do, but often times I do not at all. People can romanticize about Elena’s feelings, go on and on about how deep her love for him must have been, etc., but I don’t buy it one bit. Damon has always been the self-sacrificial one regarding Elena. It’s always Damon that has been putting his hurt aside to be there for her. Putting his heartbreak aside to be there for her. Trying to find the cure for Elena, even if it means losing her to Stefan, simply because Elena didn’t want to be a vampire. Simply because she was sired to him. Because she wanted it. Even with her humanity off, Damon has her in mind, not himself. Their relationship is horribly unbalanced and it’s probably going to remain that way.
